Renew: Vintage Jewelry!

This blog comes to you completely unplanned and I am SO excited!! 

This evening I went over to my parent's house for dinner and my mom and I were talking my love of vintage goods (I mean, I like it ALL... jewelry, furniture, clothes, you name it!) and I asked her about some of her old jewelry. She still has it and it is gorgeous! 

My mom had this amazing idea to use a vase that looked like a tree trunk, add hooks and hang all of her jewelry on it. I love the fact that although it is super full, it looks so fun! (I think it might be obvious that I get my love of renewing and repurposing from her!)

My mom GAVE me some of her great vintage pieces, I am really excited to see what kind of outfits I can put these with:

I just want to say I am so fortunate to have such an amazing mom, I look forward to passing down some of my jewelry to my sweet, sweet daughter one day... and from the looks of things, I think she will enjoy it just as much as I did!

Reduce: Beauty Products

I have decided to challenge myself! I just moved and upon unpacking my bathroom I realized that I have acquired way too many beauty products.... I just may have to post pictures later on to prove how excessive it is.

So, here's my challenge... I cannot buy any eye shadow, perfume, body wash, lotion, shampoo or conditioner until I USE all of my beauty products I already own (unless they have expired or are just gross). I am thinking that I should be good for at least 6 months... erg, maybe longer...

I am going to attempt to use what I have, recycle the containers and quit buying things I just don't NEED!
